Questions worth asking
Quick answers about the time, testing, and next steps.
Call (352) 558-8655What are the ZENITH studies testing?
Both studies are evaluating a monthly medication called efimosfermin. Researchers want to learn whether it may improve liver scarring and resolve MASH.
What is FibroScan’s role in the study?
FibroScan is one part of screening. It estimates liver fat and stiffness but cannot confirm eligibility by itself. Other testing may include MRI, bloodwork, or a liver biopsy.
How often are visits and how long is the study?
Visits are generally every four weeks. One study lasts about a year. The other may continue for up to four years. Novum will explain the exact schedule before you decide.
Would I need a liver biopsy?
Possibly. One study requires a biopsy showing F2 or F3 MASH. The other can use a mix of non-invasive tests and, in some cases, biopsy results. Novum will explain what applies to you.
What if I have been told I have cirrhosis?
You can still complete the prescreen. Novum has separate MASH studies for some people with cirrhosis. Your answer helps the team find the right study—it does not automatically rule you out.
Does participation cost anything?
Study-related visits, testing, and treatment are provided at no cost to eligible participants. Ask Novum about possible reimbursement or compensation.
Does completing this form mean I qualify?
No. The questions help Novum decide which study to review. The research team confirms eligibility after reviewing your health history and test results.
